Saw Palmetto Berry Extract (Serenoa repens)
โ Traditionally usedSaw palmetto is extracted from the berries of the Serenoa repens palm, native to the south-eastern United States. It is one of the most widely documented botanicals in men's herbal wellness formulations and has been used traditionally in everyday supplement routines for men over 50 for generations. Alpha Drive uses a standardised extract to ensure consistent concentration per capsule.
As a food supplement ingredient, saw palmetto is listed under traditional herbal use and does not carry an EFSA-approved health claim. Any suggested benefits reflect traditional use only.
Zinc (as zinc citrate)
โ EFSA-approved nutrient claimZinc is an essential trace mineral present in many foods including pumpkin seeds, legumes, nuts and red meat. In Alpha Drive, zinc is included as zinc citrate - a highly bioavailable form. Zinc contributes to normal testosterone levels in the blood and to the normal function of the immune system. These are established EFSA Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 nutrient function statements.
Zinc also contributes to normal DNA synthesis, normal fertility and reproduction, normal macronutrient metabolism, and the maintenance of normal bones, hair, nails and skin.
Lycopene from Tomato
โ Natural carotenoid antioxidantLycopene is a red carotenoid pigment found naturally in tomatoes, watermelon and pink grapefruit. Alpha Drive uses lycopene derived from whole tomatoes. As a natural antioxidant, lycopene is associated with general everyday wellbeing and is a complementary partner to the vitamin E antioxidant in this formulation. It contributes to the body's natural antioxidant environment.
Lycopene does not currently carry a standalone approved EFSA health claim; it is included as a natural antioxidant food ingredient. No disease prevention or treatment claim is made.
Pumpkin Seed Oil Extract (Cucurbita pepo)
โ Traditionally usedPumpkin seed oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of Cucurbita pepo and has a long tradition of use in herbal wellness formulations for men. It is a natural source of zinc and beneficial fatty acids including omega-6 and omega-9. In Alpha Drive, pumpkin seed extract complements the supplemental zinc to provide a whole-food botanical source alongside the isolated mineral.
Vitamin E (as d-alpha-tocopherol)
โ EFSA-approved nutrient claimVitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant vitamin found naturally in nuts, seeds, and vegetable oils. Alpha Drive uses natural d-alpha-tocopherol - the most bioactive form. Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. This is an established EFSA-approved nutrient function statement. As a fat-soluble vitamin, it pairs effectively with the carotenoid lycopene in a daily men's wellness capsule for enhanced antioxidant complementarity.
